Supporting Documents

To open an account, here’s what you’ll need to upload:

  1. Minimum of one form of valid identification - National ID/ Drivers Permit/ Passport
    You are required to upload corresponding copies of all identification details entered on your application
  2. Proof of address — Utility bill/bank statement (no older than six months) (Cellular/Mobile bills will not be accepted)
    *If the utility bill is not in your name, please provide a confirmation of residence letter from the owner, along with a copy of the owner’s ID (back and front).
  3. Original job letter OR pay slip — No older than six months.
    *Self Employed, Non Residents and Businesses- please visit the website for the full list of documents.

Bank Statement

To complete your application, please upload a copy of your bank statement which must be dated within the last six (6) months.

This is required to verify account ownership and ensure accurate processing of your application.

Identity Verification

Identity Verification Process

As part of this application process, you will need to complete a digital identity verification step. To proceed, please ensure you have access to one of the following devices:

  • A laptop or desktop computer with a webcam
  • A mobile device

When completing your identity verification, please adhere to the following requirements:

  • Taken in front of a plain white or off-white background
  • Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
  • With a neutral facial expression and both eyes open
  • Taken wearing appropriate clothing covering the torso. Uniforms should not be worn in your photo, except religious clothing that is worn daily.
  • Do not wear a hat or head covering that obscures the hair or hairline, unless worn daily for a religious purpose.
  • Your full face must be visible, and the head covering must not cast any shadows on your face.
  • Headphones, wireless hands-free devices, or similar items are not acceptable in your photo.
  • Eyeglasses are not allowed, except in rare circumstances when eyeglasses cannot be removed for medical reasons;
    e.g., the applicant has recently had ocular surgery, and the eyeglasses are necessary to protect the applicant's eyes. A medical statement signed by a medical professional/health practitioner must be provided in these cases.

  1. Once your Signed application has been processed, one of our Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) will contact you with an update via email.
  2. Should we require additional information, one of our Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) will reach out to discuss.

  4. The ACH Facility allows for the transfer of funds from UTC to your registered Bank Account

Application Status

If you are applying for the ACH facility, please note the following

Joint Accounts:

  1. The ACH facility is only eligible for joint accounts where the signing arrangement is “anyone-to-sign”
  2. Each Joint unit holder must complete separate application forms to have access to the ACH facility.
  3. The ACH Facility allows for the transfer of funds from UTC to your registered Bank Account
